Elles Publishing House hosted the first Turjoman Seminar, which brought together a number of researchers, translators, and individuals interested in translation studies.
The Turjoman seminar aims to open discussions on key issues through two consecutive panels followed by an open discussion with attendees.
The first panel, titled “Translation Ethics: Emerging Trends and New Tools,” featured Dr. Hala Kamal, Abdelrahim Youssef, and Mostafa Taha.
The second panel, “Translation Rights and the Rights of Translators,” included Mohamed A. Gamal, Soha El-Sebaei, and Mahmoud Radi.
Through these sessions, the seminar addressed issues related to the role of translation in the production and circulation of knowledge, while also providing a space for exchanging experiences among professionals working in the field.
