From Reading to Movement | Participants Begin the Dance Phase of “Writing… Dance… Heal”

|

After completing the reading phase of the “Writing… Dance… Heal” program, participants have now moved into a new stage centered on movement and dance as tools for self-discovery and expression.

The therapeutic dance phase aims to deepen body awareness, explore one’s relationship with the body, and create a safe space for expression and healing from trauma and difficult experiences through movement.

This second stage of the program is led by dance facilitator Nermeen Habib, an Egyptian dancer and choreographer with a degree in philosophy and a graduate of the Professional Dance Program at Cairo Contemporary Dance Center. Habib has participated in numerous festivals, performances, and international residencies. Her work reflects personal experiences while exploring themes of personal space, continuity, and finding ways to navigate life’s challenges.
