Elles Publishing House hosted a discussion of the book “Identity and Difference: On
Judith Butler’s Text and Its Margins,” with the participation of Dr. Sherine El-Bahnawy,
founder of “Riwayat” platform, Dr. Dalia Obeid, lecturer in American literature, and writer
and translator Hussein El-Hag.
The session featured an engaging dialogue around the book’s themes, raising
questions on identity and offering a re-reading of texts from a feminist perspective,
alongside reflections on the experience of the Feminist Translation Workshop.
The book is edited by Amir Zaki and is the outcome of the Feminist Translation
Workshop, facilitated by Nouran El-Morsafi.
