In collaboration with MAD Solutions, Elles Publishing House hosted a screening of the documentary The Tedious Tour of M as part of Elles Cinema, welcoming director Hind Bakr, who joined the audience for an open discussion moderated by writer and translator Laila (Aya) Samy.
The film traces the life of writer Mohamed Hafez Ragab, exploring his solitude, creative world, and literary journey, while raising questions about writing, memory, and the relationship between the artist and isolation.
The evening concluded with a conversation with director Hind Bakr about the making of the film and its artistic approach. Audience members actively engaged in the discussion through questions and reflections, reflecting Elles Cinema’s commitment to creating a space for dialogue between filmmakers and audiences while encouraging conversations around documentary cinema and its themes.
