“The City from a Feminist Perspective” Launch of the Third Edition of the Feminist Reading and Research Group

|

The first session of the third edition of the Feminist Reading and Research Group launched under the title “The City from a Feminist Perspective,” featuring Hussein El-Hag and Amr Abu Twila, as part of the Reading Group organized by Elles Publishing House.

The Feminist Reading Group was first established in early 2025 within the framework of the “Feminist Pedagogy” program, which seeks to rethink knowledge and methods of producing it through a feminist and collaborative perspective, through reading, discussion, and the production of texts around different themes throughout each cycle.

The group welcomes new participants in every edition, aiming to create a space for dialogue, exchange of experiences, and reflection on issues related to gender, culture, and everyday life.

Previous editions explored the themes of “Motherhood” and “Feminist Cinema,” while the current cycle focuses on “Women and the City,” discussing women’s relationship with public space and their varied experiences within cities and their transformations.
