As part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, Elles Publishing House hosted a poetry evening titled “Poets and the Poem,” bringing together leading Arab women poets from Egypt, Tunisia, and Syria.
The event featured Abir Abdel Aziz, Maha Shahab, Aya Mostafa, Alaa Fouda, Isabel Kamal, Azza Hussein, Huda Hussein, Nihad Zaki from Egypt, Khadija Ghazil, Amal Khalif from Tunisia, and Souad Al-Khatib from Syria, both in person and online.
The evening offered a space to celebrate feminist poetry and its diversity, emphasizing that poetry can resonate and make an impact in many meaningful ways.
