“Care and Care Work from a Feminist Perspective” at Elles in Collaborationwith GIZ

|

Elles Publishing House, in collaboration with GIZ Egypt, organized a reading
session exploring the concepts of care and care work from a feminist
perspective, bringing together participants in an engaging and interactive
discussion.

The session raised key questions, including: What is care work? Who performs
it? And how are care relations shaped in the absence of gender justice?
The discussion extended into everyday experiences, where participants
exchanged insights on invisible care work and its impact on shaping social life,
while also reflecting on how these relationships can be reimagined in more just
and equitable ways.

This session comes as part of Elles’ ongoing efforts to create spaces for
collective dialogue around feminist issues and to foster critical thinking on the
concepts of care and care work.
