The sessions of the fifth edition of the Feminist Translation Workshop continue at Elles Publishing House, bringing participants together through collective reading, discussion, and collaborative work on texts, as part of an ongoing exploration of translation and its practice from a feminist perspective.
Throughout the sessions, participants engage in close readings of the texts, discussing translation choices and the challenges they encounter, while creating space to exchange experiences and perspectives and reflect on language as an essential part of the knowledge-production process.
This year’s workshop focuses on Feminist Decoloniality and continues through sessions that combine collaborative translation and mutual learning, seeking to produce texts and knowledge in Arabic while opening up conversations around the relationship between language, power, and knowledge.
