Elles Publishing House has concluded the seventh edition of its literary residency in St. Catherine, bringing participants together for several days dedicated to writing, reading, and learning away from the pace of everyday life, surrounded by the region’s distinctive natural landscape.
The writing sessions were led by short story writer and novelist Ragaa’i Moussa, founder of Elles Publishing House. Through creative exercises and practical training, participants explored the fundamentals of short story writing, alongside reading, writing, and discussing texts. The sessions offered an opportunity to engage with storytelling techniques and develop their writing ideas.
The residency program also included a visit to St. Catherine’s Monastery, allowing participants to explore the site and learn more about its history and surroundings. The visit added another dimension to the experience, bringing together creative learning, writing, and the discovery of a different environment.
The literary residency is part of Elles Publishing House’s ongoing programs that create spaces for learning, experimentation, and creative development, giving writers the opportunity to connect, exchange experiences, and work on their literary projects in an environment that encourages focus and reflection.
